It’s been a few years since my last post—I was living in a basement without my rig, so I didn’t have much to share. Life is like a sine wave, sometimes we have more time for our hobbies, and sometimes we don’t. But I’m back after moving to a better apartment and I’m excited to share a project I’ve been working.
A few years ago, I purchased from AliExpress what was declared as a 21Ah battery, but it turned out to be only 17Ah.
I initially built a wooden case for it, but it wasn’t good enough—it was too big and lacked a handle.
So, I decided to buy a smaller plastic box from AliExpress and just finished making a new battery pack.
Its lightweight design makes it an excellent choice for field day operations.
This setup can power my FT-857 for a few hours while transmitting, making it a reliable option for emergency situations.
